Iceland is a country of contrasts, where the beauty of the natural world meets the power and unpredictability of the elements.
As a photographer, I felt privileged to witness and capture these moments of beauty and drama, and I will always treasure the memories of my time in this incredible place. I was constantly struck by the raw power and beauty of nature. From the towering glaciers and snow-capped mountains to the rugged coastlines and crystal-clear lakes, every landscape was a work of art waiting to be captured through my lens.
I did a road trip around Iceland on my own during the winter / spring of 2013. Between getting soaked from omnidirectional rain, having to call the emergency services to pull my car out of a snow bank and then being unable to leave town due to a blizzard, I captured many pictures which are still my favorites, 10 years later.
