The water in the Blue Lagoon geothermal baths in Iceland is rich in algae and minerals, giving it a very blue color. Located in a volcanic field full of dark black lava rocks, the ground of the water basins is turned white by mineral sediments, making them reflect the sunlight better and the blue of the water appear even brighter.
